Has anyone used Premium Auto Styling's roof wrap?

I'm thinking about wrapping my roof in gloss black. Premium Auto Styling has a pre-cut piece of vinyl for sale with the antenna hole cut out.

Has anyone used it? How was it going on? Was there a gap between the antenna and the roof (leaving the roof color exposed)?

I haven't used this particular kit, but I can suggest using a light spraying of windex before applying the vinyl. This will give you time to adjust the vinyl and ensure a precise install.

I'm considering this as well.

Windex on vinyl? Is that safe?

I know you're never supposed to use *windex* on tints - a quick google shows people saying to stay away from windex on vinyl.

I just confirmed with a friend of mine who runs a sign shop. I am wrong, it can be applied dry. My apologies.

Soapy water allows for the movement you desire. You just have to squeegee it out and let the bubbles work themselves out, though.

Not just the movement, sometimes it's helpful to re-apply the vinyl in certain areas, and being able to pull it up helps. There is 'window tint' safe spray, I wonder if that would be a good option. I think soap would take too long to dry under the vinyl.

Wouldn't be surprised if the lubricant for applying the film is the same as those used for clear bra to make the adhesive responsive and sticky. I'd look into a wrap on the roof too, but mine is already mostly clear braed.

you're going to want to use soapy water, NOT windex. soapy water dries up. those lubricants such as windex or window cleaner will not dry or squeeze out. i have tried this already.

I'm still wondering if there would be a gap around the antenna hole.

The antenna is easy to remove. Then you don't need to worry about a gap around the antenna just have them give you a solid piece without a cutout.
