Gas Pedal Adjustment

Are there any suggestions on how to adjust the gas pedal to be "even" with the brake pedal? The Gas sits so much further down than the brake (1.5 inches ). I put on a SRP Heel toe pedal last night and want to adjust height. Yes I searched.

How do you like the SRP pedal? How thick is it (i.e., how much higher does it make the pedal)? Did you just get the gas pedal?

Thanks

Do you mean vertical height, or depth? I find under hardish breaking the gas pedal is in close to the perfect spot depth wise. If the brake and gas are even at rest, then under braking the gas is closer and a real pain to heel/toe with.

The srp pedal is very nice high quality made to order. Heel toe is 90% better imo. I want the gas pedal to come towards me about a half inch. I get what you are saying about when they ate both being pressed but I still think the gap coyld be smaller.

Interesting that you want it closer to you and I want it a little further away. I have SRP pedals too and I find the height perfect for heel-toe around town (I actually just do it out of habit, not because I need to).
But, on the track, with harder braking, the gas pedal is sitting too high to heel-toe perfectly. And it's on the track that I really want it smooth.

I don't know of any way to raise it without a spacer under the SRP plate. (Gas pedal for you, brake pedal for me). But, if you find a way to adjust it, please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks for the info! I ordered just the gas pedal. Looking forward to it. I've gotten used to heel and toeing in the FR-S, but it's a bit hard on my ankle!

I love mine. Great customer service from the company too.

For the life of me I can't find the gas pedal when trying to heel toe. Going to have to research this.

Sent from my flux capacitor using Taptalk

Do you use the true heel toe method or the half n half method as I do. (half of your foot on the gas and half on the brake while your foot is straight up and down)

Alright.. I'm willing to share my secret.. I too have the SRP heel-toe pedal and I love it!

Here's how you RAISE the gas pedal- I've been meaning to put this in the DIY section for months, but been a little lazy about it..

1. Remove the gas pedal assembly by removing the 2 nuts
2. You'll notice there is some slack on the 2 threads that the bolts were on
3. This slack allows you to put spacers to raise the gas pedal ~1cm
4. Reinstall gas pedal assembly

Done.. 1cm makes A TON of difference for heel toe.. It actually made it too easy because I'd find myself blipping the throttle with regular braking. If you guys need help with visualizing this mod- I'll post a DIY.

I tried adjusting the brake and clutch pedals first. Now it's almost perfect.

fitted the cusco throttle pedal and it raised the throttle slightly while bring it closer to the brake pedal for better heel/toe:

did you need to drill into the factory pedal to fit it, or were there brackets behind it which simply clamps onto it?
