TPMS on and off?

I had the TPMS light on early this morning, check all the tires and pressure, nothing was wrong. Later on the way home it turned off after i did a turn, the hell? :iono:

Has this happened to anyone else? I did a quick search, nothing came up.

I did have the front driver side TPMS replaced around a month since Toyota said it was "broken".

Is it PMSing?

They're pretty temperamental when it starts to get cold.

The exact same thing happened to me today. This morning I turn on the car and the light is on, all 4 tires seem to be fine though I have not checked the pressure

Really? I hope this doesn't become a habit, it makes me very paranoid every time i see it on...

Me too. I added a couple psi into all 4 and it went away. The cooler temps reduce your tire pressure below the threshold of the sensors.

Rule of thumb is for every 10 degree change (colder) in outside temp. your tires lose 1 pound +/-.

Pump your tires to 35 cold psi. Light comes on at around 30 (and goes off when tires warm-up from driving). If you're checking pressures indoors - add a few psi to compensate.

probably turned off because you drove on the tires and the turning created more heat (thus more psi) and it shut up
