Used Oil Analysis - Factory break-in oil

We were actually going to do a side-by-side with the Motul 300V we put in the engine during this oil changed, but we suffered an engine failure (completely unrelated to oil), and are in the process of getting a fresh engine from Subaru for our BRZ.

I suppose we'll do a UOA on that engine's break-in oil as well, and then our usual UOA regiment that we do on every car.

I did note that they incorrectly labeled the engine a EJ20.

Typical higher levels of moly, zinc, and phosphorus from the factory fill. You should just let BS know about the mistake so that their database is correct for your averages.

Thanks for sharing. What happened to the engine?

Going to wait till we have the car back before posting anything, but it wasn't a catastrophic failure like some of the others we've seen.
