Quest regarding using both stock at 17x8
Im thinking of getting the Enkei 17x8 RP03 with new tires... and use them when i go driving in the mtns or hanging out.. i also want to keep the stock rim/tires for long term and occasionally swap the stockers back if i go driving for 1000+miles or whatever.....or should i ? i may eventually sell the stock tires/rims but i sorta like the idea of keeping the stock setup justin case..
so question is - if all i am doing is going wider -- do i need to get an alignment when the new tires are put on ? if so, will i mess up things when swapping around the 17x8 and 17x7 throughout the year ?? sorry, im bit of a newbie when it comes to tire mods.. etc etc any insight would help me decide or forget it and just sell the stockers and not worry about it -- ??? |
No need for an alignment when changing wheels/tires. Assuming you keep the diameter stock all of the alignment settings will be unchanged. I do it all the time. You will get used to the TPMS light on whatever wheels don't have the sensors. Not a biggie.
