What kind of computer are some of you using with ECU-teck to monitor your car?

Picked up a Asus X401a laptop from Best Buy for $299. I upgraded the HD to a SSD and the memory to 8GB for another $200. You don't have to do the upgrades, but I didn't want a mechanical HD in the car just in case I hit any bumps. Works just fine for what it is.

I picked up a refurb Lenovo ThinkPad T400 with XPSP3 that will only be used for the sole purpose of flashing the car. I will be swapping out the HD for an SSD at some point.
No way would I ever consider a daily use laptop for that sort of thing. |
Dell XPS - Paul Walker Limited Edition.

Have you guys seen the Chromebook for $249? Would that work?

Is this for logging purposes and if so does that mean you have to have it hooked up while running to record a log? I thought you just hooked up while in your garage and it just took it from the ECU

Chromebook runs Chrome OS and there is no way to virtualize windows so no, it won't work.
