headunit size

i know our headunit is not a traditional size, but what are the dimensions exactly? looking to change it out without adapters on the sides

It's about 20mm wider then a standard double dinn, and a few mm taller.

Kenwood make a headunit that fits perfectly, model number KENWOOD DDX630WBT

I got it from eBay. It was a really hard until to find in Australia. You might have a bit more luck finding around in the US.

I was hoping so but the only online sites selling I've seen are in India. I will check out some local stores this week in hopes of finding it. Thanks

is this headunit applicable for U.S. spec vehicles? has anyone here had any luck in the USA with this?

I guess because I'm a new member, I can't start my own thread. I'm trying to figure out what wiring harness/spacers are necessary to mount an aftermarket double-DIN HU. I tried searching the forums but couldn't find anything relevant that looked helpful.

I found this on eBay, just wondering what other forumers used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCION-FR-S-2...336#vi-content

I just want the basics - plug-and-play (no splicing), and I'd like to retain the USB/Aux input if possible.

That kit will work.

As for USB/Aux retention, you will have to modify your car and head unit. There is a DIY thread on the forums about it (I can't remember where).
