Driveline shudder when lifting off throttle (not touching clutch)

Hi folks. I'm not sure if this is more common with other manual cars but I've never experienced this before.

When lifting off the throttle, specifically at lower speeds, I'm getting a shudder for a second or so in the driveline. This is without touching the clutch. If I'm cruising through light traffic say around 25mph and lift the throttle it bucks. Again, I'm no expert in manual transmissions but it doesn't feel right. Thoughts?

It can do that when the engine is cold, it shouldnt do that when its warm. Also, how many miles are on your motor? New engines that arent broken in are fluffy, slow throttle response etc and can do some things like that.

I've got 5900 on the engine and it happens even after its warmed up. I don't get it. Weird.

This sounds like the oh-so-common idle dip. Mine does it as well. It hasn't caused any issues.. yet

I think it's normal. It basically feels like engine braking is kicking in hard and fast, right? My FR-S does that after 8000 miles and even when it's warm. I feel like the throttle is just more sensitive than other cars I've driven, but it really only happens when I let off the gas abruptly. I'm just careful about how I let off the gas if I want to avoid it.

It'll be more pronounced if you're in a lower gear. My BRZ does it, my old Integra with 186,000 miles did it, and my friend's Si does it. I'm sure it's normal. Believe, like others have said, it's engine braking.
