Another black headlight, a little different

I painted my headlights, but I left the projector rings chrome to better balance the turn signal / highbeam chrome. I also like the look a bit better then blacked out everything, with a functional high beam reflector

Nice.

Looks really nice, almost factory. Are you going to do something with the turn signals? They usually stick out with the blacked out headlights but yours still looks good since you left the reflector chrome in the headlight.

Maybe they should be smoked a bit they will blend in perfectly?

* blacked out the high beam housing coz the projector now takes care of high beam. You could of converted this housing to DRL if you fancy that.

* painted the projector shield I color of your choice so that the projector lens reflects that color with good external lighting. Has no effect on the light output.

Holy shi...t

Your post may be more appreciated if:

* You didn't come off sounding as a douche

* You realize not everyone has money together to do all the things they'd really like to right away.

* You didn't feel your taste(opinion) for things was the way everyone else prefers.

I've been waiting for someone on this forum to blackout their headlights this way, looks great imo

Looks really good OP :) The little bits you left unpainted make it pop a little bit more, where it looks like it could have come that way :)

Really well done.

1. I considered the Morimoto kit actually, the only reason I didn't was because I wasn't sure what SEMA would bring i terms of aftermarket. I didn't want to waste mod money (aside from paint and busted knuckles) if a perfect set of LED / fiber optic headlights were even remotely affordable soon.

2. I didn't want to black out the current DRL spot, to me it would look even wworse with a giant black voided headlight spot with no function. I can be a bit OCD about overall form and artistic balance.

3. The projector sheild. You got me on that one. I would have done that first round IF I had done it before, but I only had the day to finish up the breif project, so I put it all together so I can drive to work at 6am with working headlights.

However, I will look a bit further into this one. I wasn't sure it would stand out enough with a functional halogen light right next to it to bother with. MAybe round 2 next month after I know what options their are I will paint red lenses and my version of halos (think light accents but no seeing any bulbs).

BTW I'll take some more pics when the ssun comes up
