JWMotoring LED light replacements

This is going to be a how to and a review for these lights. They provided me with a
Map light in white, blue, and green

Trunk light in white, blue and green

and rear plate lights in white

First off dealing with JWMotoring was very pleasant, they got the LED's to me in a timely manner. And I have had no problems with the LED's. They where sent USPS in a well padded package.

Installing the Map light was simple , I used a small flathead screw driver to remove the plastic cover, note you tilt move the rear view mirror backwards.

once the cover is off it should look like this, I removed the bulb already, also if you had your light on for any length of time you might grab it with some gloves cause it will be a little toasty

Take your new LED light pull off the adhesive from the back and stick it in the corner where there is a chunk of clean black plastic, and squeeze the metal pieces together and put the contacts in the place of the old light. note the black wire side should be towards the rear of the car

the plate lights are even simpler. open trunk

take the light assy and twist it to release holder

remove the bulb by slide it out

reinsert the opposite way you removed

as far as the trunk its more difficult then the others but still pretty easy

I found it easier to twist the assy to remove it

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...3/DSC_2424.jpg

remove the light assy by squeezing the tab and pulling apart
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...3/DSC_2425.jpg
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...3/DSC_2426.jpg

take your flathead screwdriver and push in the tabs on the side to expose the bulb. this is the exact same bulb in the plate lights so remove the same

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...3/DSC_2418.jpg

note you can put them in backwards and they wont work so if the light doesnt come on then remove and rotate 180 degrees

reverse the way you removed it and bam

Or buy the lights on eBay for a fraction of the cost and do a search for all the other write-ups on this forum...

Even better, buy some cheap rgb led strips with a 3 dollar controller and choose whatever color suites your current mood like I did in the wife's new mustang...

Well we do buy sponsorship here which hosts those free write-ups for members to use.

The OP was actually an installer for our products and this thread was a write up for us to use on our site.

Trust me no ebay seller is touching our warranty and support for the price

Warranty and support is indeed important for many people so props to you on that. I just don't want everyone that has the DIY bug to think this is the only way to go. ;)

Thanks for the post OP. Immediately went out and ordered a full interior/exterior set in white.

He has the full package.

Another thing to note is we're using high quality (9) SMD panels for the interior lights. These are a lot brighter than standard led bulb replacements that other sellers offer. We'll look into offering those in the future for those that just want a subtle light kit.

Ordered the complete package yesterday!
Shipment is on the way! So excited to get them and install them right away!

BTW, how do we change the color? is there like a controller?
