iOS6 + Subaru BRZ bluetooth issues
 

Anyone else having a problem getting their iPhone to sync properly with their BRZ after updating to iOS6? Sometimes it will connect like normal within 10 seconds after I start the car. Other times it will fail and then come on a few minutes later. Sometimes it just fails altogether.

I'd just like to figure out if iOS6 is the problem here or if it's something else.

I haven't really had any issues with the phone syncing, although I'm still trying to figure out why the text messaging doesn't work in my case. I'm assuming you have tried deleting and re-pairing the phone?

I did. But this time I did a soft reset on my phone and then re-paired it. Seems to be quite a bit better but nothing like iOS5 was. Also, for text messages, as far as I know the Fujituso uses a certain text format that you may seem more commonly on the phones without QWERTY keyboards. This is why you won't see text messages with the iPhone.

With my iphone5 i was seeing the text messages (it got reallly annoying) but now it wont pair every time

I deleted all paired devices from the radio and removed the pairing from my phone. This seemed to help a lot. Still does seem to take a little longer, but before it wasn't even pairing before the radio timed out.

Bluetooth has been a bit flaky with my iPhone 5.

I deleted and re-paired. Seems to be better now. And the text notification functions work fine - only thing is, I can't seem to reply using the head unit, it always comes up with an error.

How do you delete the bluetooth devices off of the headunit on the BRZ?

I Just upgraded to the iPhone5 and am having some bluetooth issues, messages aren't downloading and connection stalls/fails sometimes. Other times it works fine.
