it probably wont whistle. The sound generator vibrates with the intakes resonance like a speaker.

so i should just take it off and block the damn hole

Just don't attach it to the pressure side or you'll probably blow out the diaphragm! :bellyroll:

Cheddar 09-19-2012 06:01 PM

The boost pressure will probably blow it right off. Remember there is vac in that system when NA.

Try it and let us know what it does. I doubt anyone has tried it so far. However, definitely don't attach it to the intake side unless you are willing to blow the diaphragm out as stated previously.

This doesn't relate unless it is in fact hooked to the intake side of the turbo, likely blowing the diaphram.

no there isn't, atleast no major vacuum unless your air filter sucks. There is only significant vac between the engine and throttle body.

I didn't say there was alot of vac. Just that there was.

Hey maybe at 10psi youll have another AC vent in the car lol

I will obviously hook it up between the turbo and the filter lol

To quote futurama, as the Planet Express was being dragged down through the depths of the sea and external pressures were building:
"How many atmosphere's can it take!?"
"Well, seeing as it's a spaceship, anywhere between zero and one."

if getting turbo
then get real exhuast
ditch wimpy sound gen gizmo
real throaty exhaust and the car sounds right in and out

Why on earth would you still want the noise generator? If you're boosted your blow off valve + wastegate will be doing the majority of the noise making. Much cooler noises too.
