Easy breezy install, tricky part for me was getting the lamps out of the fenders, the rest was cake.
you can see the sound tube delete if you look closely in one of the pics

I'm digging the sound of the header back perrin stainless system (new thread in the works!)
this oil cooler was in the same box, and was lucky to get to try it and install it as a test subject, no instructions were given...and I did fine. I think I may have put the bolts in for the oil cooler upside down but it really didnt matter. Chris was a phone call away if I needed help, and I took him up on it, just one time for tech, and another to confirm the clampless oil hose, neat stuff

Is that heat exchanger mounted in your pics?

I wish it wasn't right smack in the middle. Us 6AT guys also need room for a Trans Cooler.

I was surprised that the mocal fittings and hose were clampless, but its true, thats how its done

in another you can see my other toy, a land rover discoery 2 thats used as a trail leader rig in moab where I volunteer for a national rover club as a trail guide, means pulling and recoveries, its also nicely modded out, lifted , locker front rear and center, etc etc
sorry for the sizes, but the resolutions for your benefit, when you do this make sure you dont have the lines up against the washer bottle neck, you may have to pan to the right of the screen to see this clearly
there is a thread on here search 'reflector bumper cover remove' and the guy does a nice write up on how to get the cover off, its actually pretty intuitive, there are two plastic clips at the edges of the lower bumper cover that need a little gentle screwdriver work to pry out undamaged.
take your time and its easy thanks to a great design on subaru's part and a neat kit put together by Perrin made of trusted parts and part or two they seem to fab up in house, like a nifty spacer.

When do they go on sale and how much?

Well, Its a prototype, so i am sure Chris will jump in here any second with news etc. My install was smooth and neat, no holes drilled etc. He did mention there may be a bracket in the works, for the production version. I'm actually fine bracketless, tho I may add a stone shield later

I'm pretty sure now after looking at it again that this wont fit with the Airaid intake. Particularly the way the lines and fittings are oriented, the Airaid box occupies that space. :(

Thanks for posting the pictures gmookher! We are working on two brackets for the oil cooler that will raise it up a little bit, and make for a little cleaner install. Basically the kit will come with everything needed for a simple bolt on install. If you guys have any questions, let me know!

Can the fittings and lines be oriented differently depending on the way the adapter threads in? My post above states a potential fitment issue with the intake I'm running.

How much?

So it's basically the heat exchanger, 2 lines, and sandwich adapter? Not bad
It looks like there's a port in the adapter that allows for an oil temp sensor, is that right?

Does the sandwich adapter get messy when you take the oil filter off? :)

Looks neat! I deffinitely want this if it improves the HP being consistant.

We're not sure yet, we will test fit it with intakes in the next few months to see if we can make it work with different intakes. We know for sure it will work with the PERRIN intake that is coming soon.



There isn't a port for oil temp unfortunately. The adapter would have to be taller. But there is a port on the engine already for the factory oil temp sensor, which can be Tee'd off to an aftermarket gauge pretty easily.
