Tires keep leaking
 

My tpms keeps going off and ALL my wheels are loosing pressure. It was almost everyday so I went to nitrogen and now every 4 days it goes off and all tires are low. I tightened the outside of the tpms's which were all a little loose but it is still leaking.

Anyone else having this problem? Should I take it in for warranty, I have an intake and no snorkel and don't feel like getting busted cause I don't want to replace everything. Or should I pop the tires off at school and just make sure the inside is set and tight?

I was thinking of just poppin off the hood release wire so if someone wanted to take a peak there would be extra effort envolved.

Why not take it to a tire shop and ask for their advice first?

Why would the dealership need to pop your hood to check your tires?

Aftermarket intake should not void your warranty, and certainly should have no bearing in the warranty coverage of a faulty or improperly installed TPMS/sensors.

+1 this is a new car that's leaking air at all four tires... Screw worrying about your intake..

The TPMS sensor seal is probably leaking.
Not a big issue, but dealership should be able to replace the seal no problem.

Have you had a shop check for leaks on the tire itself?

To answer why worry about under the hood, because it does NOT sound stock anymore and don't want to have to bring laws and acts and all the other stuff to get something fixed down the road.

Also don't need to take it to a shop, I have my own, but if I pop the tires off they could very well blame me for tampering with the sensors.

But the original question. Anyone else have this issue?

Run some soapy water or just water over the valve stem area and see if its bubbling. That way you don't need to pop off your tires.

Exact thing happened on my companies Honda Element, put in a small amount of fix a flat and problem solved. A year later TPMS still works fine.

Just got to make sure first...These are STOCK tires right?


Could be a few possibilities here:

-Punctured tire
-Corroded seating of the beads (Tire not sitting flush to the rim because of dirt or some kind of debris stuck inbetween the tire and the rim)
-Leaking TPMS

I would dip the whole wheel into a shallow bucket of soapy water and turn it around to cover every inch of the tire; take it out and look for bubbles.
If it does turn out to be corroded sitting of the beads...dismount the tire off the rim, thoroughly clean and scrub around the rim where the tire bead would sit, remount, and fill it up and check again.

This is very unusual though; it may very well be the FIRST time I've heard a brand new car having all 4 flats at the same time... Hope it's a quick fix!

I would check the torque on your TPMS. I should be 35 "inch" lbs. Do not over torque ..... gasket can be damaged which causes it to leak. Check the torque on the valve core too. Use windex and spray the TPMS area and the tire bead to check for leaks. Best of luck.
