Looking real good.

Any idea what your particular rims weigh? I know RE30s are light but just curious.

Those look great! Definitely a good choice on wheels. I see you got a new bumper too ;)

It says 17lbs here (http://www.measurespeed.com/volk-rims-wheel-weight.php), but I'm not sure if that's accurate. They feel very light.

Thanks. Yup new bumper, and the color kinda matches grrrr haha. I'll have to have you guys check it out and give me opinions at the next meet.

I got the same size wheels on the way, i went with 235's though and Tein H Techs to close the gap.

Looks great! How does the car ride with 18x8.5 on 225/40? Have you noticed any significant difference whether good or bad?

Well one thing that's very noticeable is that, with all the grip, I really can't spin the wheels anymore. It certainly was fun spinning the wheels very easily and controllably with the stock set up. But now the car feels more planted and it's putting more power down. It definitely was fun making all that noise though. ;)

Overall, it seems more firmly planted, which maybe makes it seem a bit less spry, but it's hard to tell. The tires do feel excellent ripping around a corner at speed.

At first, I thought that there was a lot of added road noise, but I think that was just because the tires were overinflated. Now deflated to around 35psi each, they seem nice and quiet.

The wheels fit with no rubbing issues. The 8.5 +44 really fits the wheel wells great...a huge improvement over stock. I was worried that the fronts might poke and the rears might look too sunken, but honestly I think it looks great and not hella-aggressive or hella-lame or anything. And I don't think I'll feel the need to mess with spacers to be perfectly happy.

We'll have to see how it looks after a mild drop. :party0030:

Sweet. I'm looking forward to you dropping the car. I'm planning on the same set-up, except with different rims (still can't decide on what I want though)

They are just exhaust tips for now until I decide on an exhaust. I posted lots of info about the tips in this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7275

Hope that helps!
