RCE SS2 Coilovers + Verus LCA + Other stuff?

Just picked up a 2025 BRZ – completely stock for now apart from a COBB titanium catback. It came with factory Brembos, so no aftermarket BBK needed.

Backstory: I used to own a JDL-turbo GT86 with built engine and all possible mods including carbon driveshaft, crazy clutch, all possible suspension bits etc. Before that, I ran through two HKS V2 superchargers – both failed quickly and soured me on HKS permanently. With this Gen 2 BRZ, I’m so far committed to keeping it naturally aspirated and more balanced overall. No mods for the sake of modding (I will try my best this time :))

Next steps: wheels + suspension.

Wheels/Tires

Planning to go with:

• TWS T66-F 18x8.5 ET42

• 245/35 tires – leaning toward Cup 2, AD09, or R888 I liked very much in the old car (yes, I know it’s overkill for NA – will post a separate thread in the wheels/tires section for more input there).

Suspension Setup

Main goal is track capability with decent street manners. My tentative setup:

RCE SuperStreet 2 coilovers

https://www.racecompengineering.com/...-2022-brz-gr86

Verus 7000-series rear LCAs

https://www.verus-engineering.com/sh...46#attr=190,17

To help dial in ~2.5° rear camber and prevent any fitment issues.

RCE sway bars (20mm front / 16mm rear)

https://www.racecompengineering.com/...-brz-fr-s-gr86

RCE end links

https://www.racecompengineering.com/...-brz-fr-s-gr86

Learned my lesson trying to pair Ohlins with Whiteline sway-bars on my GT86 – thick Whileline ones didn’t work, ended up with Hotchkis and still had to trim them a bit and add additional threads.

Since I’m based in Dubai, I’m trying to order everything in one go to save on shipping and install time - thus RCE sways and end links but happy to switch to other brands if there is a good reason for that.

Looking for constructive feedback or alternate suggestions.

Would you change anything in this setup? Any red flags? Especially curious if anyone has long-term experience with any of the above mentioned parts on a track-driven Gen 2.

Looks like a great setup.

Adjustable endlinks, shorter in the back, they are really needed on the back in particular.

I'd get the SPL Rear LCAs for the additional adjust-ability.

I included the RCE end links for the front and never expected issues on the back - which ones would you recommend?

The shortest you can find, because the rear ARB is not parallel to the ground. Some relocation brackets help too.
You can even remove pre load, much needed.
I'm using Revolution end links at the back.

I'd want at leas 9" wide to run 245s. FWIW I'm running 17x9 +37 with 225/45-17 Yokohama A052s. The Yoks are great in the dry, and when newish with some tread depth are *outstanding* in the wet.

I went with the RCE SS-2s as well, really pleased. I did run 9kg/mm rear springs instead of 7kg/mm for smidge less understeer (which was an issue on my previous '17 BRZ). I've been tracking on this setup for a couple of years, balance is good :)

Yes, 9” is better for 245 for sure but the 9s further increase fitment issues, my 2nd thought is to try 225/40s first on the 8.5 TWSs or go with Advan GT Beyonds 8” with 225/40.

A052s are an option too. Can you post a pic how they look on 9”? In recent TireRack test 225s on 9’” surprisingly showed best times (better than 245s on 9”) and also very positive reviews on their manners

There is no wet in Dubai only hot&dry and very hot&humid :)

I think the 245 makes sense for higher track temps in Dubai! The 225 maybe a little bit faster in good conditions for a few laps but for longer sessions I'd want a 245.

We are working on rear endlinks but it will be a little while. The SPL will do well in the rear.

Good list and we'll be happy to support as best we can. :)

Pics of 225/45-17 A052s on 17x9 +37 wheels. Car at ~325mm hub to fender lip, on RCE SS-2 coilovers, -3.5 front camber, -2.8 rear. All factory control arms.

225?

Looks quite all right. On 8.5” A052S should look totally fine - I checked, they run really wide. Thanks a lot for the pics! 225/40 A052S on 8.5 is my first choice now.
