Traction control on left turns
Traction control kicks off on left turns at a much lower angle of a turn compared to right turns. The car turns on traction control and jerks me and stops me from turning further.
I recently upgraded to 17x9 gramlights and continental extreme contacts dws06 plus. I had the car put on the alignment machine and have reset the VSC memorization but the problem is still here. Not only have I driven this car at a point where it felt fine on left turns. I also have another BRZ that has worse tires and the car does nothing similar. Maybe someone can spot an issue in the alignment below but I’ve been told it’s ok. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d788ca3ec8.jpg Here’s some other posts with a similar problem: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116104 https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show....php?p=3254205 https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...=149411&page=2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Are we sure that what is shown on the screen isn't the "before" pictures of the alignment before adjustments were made?
I can't imagine any competent alignment tech sending a car out the door with that as the final alignment. |

It is the after. I don’t have any camber adjusters so they couldn’t correct the camber. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Maybe the issue is that the alignment tech forgot to reset the steering angle sensor? |

Yeah it's "in the green" for total toe, but uneven left to right which is not great.

I wouldn’t be thrilled with that alignment but it shouldn’t be awful. Check tire pressures and take it to a different shop imho, some shops have alignment racks way out of calibration and the fact that they didn’t at least try and even out the toe in the back isnt a good sign.

Alignment doesn't look great. Is your car stock except for the wheels?
|
I'd start the trouble-shooting fixing that uneven front and rear toe, as for the camber yeah it's not ideal but still fine to me; also, find a decent shop, no matter if they use lasers or strings, it has to be a decent shop with a good tech and while your car is lifted check for any lose or worn part in the rear kinematics.
Then if this will not fix it...except for the wheels which other mods you have? If you're on coilovers make sure you have a proper ride height with enough rear droop travel, too little travel can cause this problem (it happened to me) but it should't happen only on left turns. Did it start as soon as you got your new wheels? |
Could something like this be caused by poor corner weighting?

I will. Yeah it started as soon as I got new wheels and tires but I really can’t figure out how it could be that at this point. I was on stock coil overs then bought aftermarket HKS hoping it would help the problem but didn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just bought the whiteline front camber bolts and rear LCAs to adjust camber. Edit: I've also rotated my tires and I re-torqued my rear axle nuts. |

Which kind of LCA you bought? |
