Steering wheel angle sensor
Hi
I had to replace a front lower control arm and also the steering wheel airbag. I've since repaired all. I now get a code 1231 steering wheel angle sensor abnormal. I replaced the said sensor but still get the same code. I am wondering if there is a way to test the actual sensor itself with a meter and would a need to calibrate the the steering wheel position cause that fault. It reads 0 voltage. I checked the harness and get proper voltage at pins 1 to 4 and there is negligible resistance between pin 1 and the chassis. Thanks in advance for any help/advice. |
Techstream (the dealer software) is needed to calibrate the sensor. It also has test functions to check sensor output.
The only way to perform the calibration is with the software. |
