Tail light fuse keeps blowing
my tail light fuse keeps blowing, unless my vland headlights aren’t plugged in. any ideas on what might be the problem? i’m very inexperienced as far as electrical issues go this is my first one on any of my cars.

parking lamps or brake light fuse?
|
Well if the headlights not being plugged in stops blowing the fuse, I'd say it's the headlights.
|
Swap to OEM headlights, see if still blows. Ez.

If someone else swapped out your headlights, I suggest you take the car back to them and ask them to fix it. If you are the one that swapped out the headlights, I suggest you take it into a shop and ask them to fix it. BTW, which fuse keeps blowing? (position and amp) Good luck. |

thanks for your reply it’s a 10a fuse under the dash labeled “tail” i put them in myself and traded the oem headlights for these on facebook market place (not the best decision) i’ve asked 2 shops in my local area if they would look at it and they both said they don’t work on Subarus 🙄 |
pull the parking light bulbs in both headlights and try again. if it blows the fuse it is in the wiring of the lamp. If the fuse does not blow, try new bulbs.
