FA24 clutch/flywheel
I've done a bit of digging, the OE Subaru part numbers are not interchangeable between FA20 and FA24.
I also have not seen any aftermarket compatibility yet. Is the FA24 clutch/flywheel setup unique to that engine? |
I guess according to ORC their clutch kit for FA20 works for FA24.
http://www.ogura-racing.com/pdf/ORC_86-GR86-BRZ.pdf I might need to find a test car for this in the near future, will post a relevant thread when the time is right. -alex |
Information on compatibility for second gen cars is a little hard for me to find, with most suppliers and manufacturers not listing lightened flywheels, clutches of kits for the second generation, 2022+ GR86 or BRZ.
As mentioned, Ogura Racing Clutch (ORC) in Japan lists clutches with the same part number for both gens but it does not list or combine a flywheel and clutch as a kit from what I can tell. CSG shows a single disc ACT clutch kit, SB8-XTSS, but ACT says there isn't anything for second gen cars. Same for the OS Giken clutch they list. OS Giken doesn't list it, or any as fitting second gen cars. Is anyone familiar with what is different and why some sell them for gen2 and most don't. |

In his newer version of the swap kit, RS Mtrs is going to use the FA24 crank trigger with a Prius sensor. I don't know if this changes which flywheel you would use. |
