Header Question

Anyone gone from a r400 to a q300, then got a uel? I had an r400 swapped to a q300 due to the drone at highway speeds and on hills.

q300 is fine by itself but want to add a psr uel & overpipe and leave front pipe stock. From what I've read drone shouldn't be an issue with this setup, any feedback appreciated. thanks!

I think it should be fine, but what others have noted is that the q300 muffler packing can disintegrate over time leaving you with a loud exhaust setup.

I recently put in a header and overpipe, with STOCK exhaust from there back. its louder than stock by a good amount. I might try that if I were you. Before you try anything with more volume, at least

I had the UEL headers, then the R400 exhaust, then the Q300 exhaust and then added a catless resonated frontpipe. The last thing I did was use two STI hangers for the rear two hangers. There's no drone when cruising on the highway - mostly just the typical tire noise and NVH. It's almost stock level. When you floor it, it gets loud.
