Thoughts on this oil?

I have a Stage2+ OFT FRS with a full catless exhaust and I run e85. I found this oil but don't know much relating to additives and how oils affect engine health and E85 usage. Would anyone who knows a lot about how oils work be able to see how decent this would be to run in my car?

It's rated for small engines and a few American cars but it seems like it would be good for my FRS but I just wanted some second opinions before using it. Otherwise, I'm just gonna end up running OEM oil with faster intervals with E85.

Oh FFS. New oil thread day is Monday, it hasn't been a week since the last one. Major brand, proper API rating=good to go. There have been arguments on the oil with proper E85 rating, that was 3 weeks ago. Such thing exists. Don't ask me to find it for you, you can google it.

Probably better off buying what's affordable enough to change often. Your biggest concern should probably be fuel dilution in your oil.

it's easier to list oil's that won't work.

is it whale oil?

is it sea otter oil?

is it caster oil?

is it wd-40?

If you run an oil with an API SN with Resource Conserving / ILSAC GF-5 grade or better, you won't have any issues with E85 and a full mileage interval. Those oils are designed for ethanol content in fuels, up to E85 concentration.

I run Castrol Edge and have ran a 5500 mile interval with 2 track days, all on E85. The oil analysis came back saying the oil still had plenty of life to run up to 7500 miles.

I just sent in another oil analysis with 3 track days and 7500 miles, all on E85. I don't expect any issues with that one either.

I'm also in the camp of any good brand name full synthetic oil that meets SN and GF-5 specs.

For that warm fuzzy feeling inside of having chosen the best oil from a bunch of good oils I'm looking at the NOACK measure - coming to the Twins from a turbocharged direct injected platform (Focus ST) that was a common argument that lower NOACK better protects the turbo and help with carbon build up. With no other real objective ways of differentiating between oils (other than price), I'm going by that and using Castrol Edge.

PS don't forget to ask if you should use 0W20 or 5W30

It's easiest to just click the thread, make it old news, and go on to the next one. :)
