electrical faults...
So I finished work and realised my radio, interior light, clock, parker lights and rear tail lights don't work :/ I haven't played with the electricals, main low beam still works, no fuses blowen... any ideas..? I have to wait till Monday to take it to Toyota :(

any fuses loose?
|
Recheck your Parker fuse. Sometimes they crack rather than blow
|
^^^^^. Like he said
Cracked fuses. Dont look blown. . . Got stung by that b4. Im sure all those wouldnt be affected by 1 blown fuse. Whats the chance of multiple fuses blown. Pull the battery terminal off for a period of time. Computer glitch ? <<< IT guy here, reboot fixes everything, well nearly everything. Reason i say period of time. To reset my celica ecu i pull the ecu fuse or disconnect battery, if engine warm need to be disconnected for longer (20-30min). If motor fully cold then 2 min. Thats what the workshop manual says. |

LoL I say this to people at work at least once a day. :party0030:b They still ask y ? I say, Microsoft, keeps me in the job. |
Thanks guys.. I'll check it out tomorrow morning. Try a reset of ecu. Check all fuses. I'll replace them as well to see if reset no work.
For the radio, manual says there's an internal panel in the cabin, I searched but couldn't find it, anyone know where the other fuse panel is? |
Its also possible you have a bad wiring harness somewhere, but thats something that you won't be able to find out personally. Good luck!

Might seem weird, but, put your high beams on (while car is running) for a while and see if any warning lights come on the dash. I'm thinking it may be a faulty component for the alternator (voltage regulator maybe) or faulty battery. Similar thing happened to me a while back. Hope that helps.

wait a minute
what i understood is that the lights on the dash, the backlights on the radio, the light on the clock and the rear/front parkers arent working this is what i understood and said to check the one fuse that does all low lighting in most cars (when you switch the stalk to parkers) however if the entire radio isnt working, than thats completely different man and unlikely to blow that many fuses. i hope its not the loom :( |

So all fixed now? Take the fueses back for replacing ;)

Awesome :D
So glad it wasn't the look or the stalk, but so confused as to how 3 cracked at the same time? Was it a cold day when it stopped working? Cracking usually happens from thermal/physical shock rather than a electrical fault Just happy it's all sorted now :D |
