Pedders top hats
I know about the camber/caster adjustment these offer, but are there any negatives for the stock struts running these? Will it impact the operation/life of the struts at all or am I just overthinking this?

They just give that *little* bit extra that will help get things within a more performance-oriented range alignment-wise without going to a full camber/caster plate and the potential NVH those bring. |
I’ve run the Pedders top mounts for two years now with no issues.
For the record my current set-up is TRD springs on Koni Yellows with camber bolts at both locations (16mm top, 14mm bottom). With these parts a -2.75 front camber is easily achieved. In fact my alignment guru stated he could get -3.5 but that would be too extreme for my 95% DD of that time. This works okay for lapping although now that I’m retired I would opt for the -3.5 had I not recently bought a set of Ohlin’s which included adjustable camber plates. I’ll install these this winter using the camber bolts for some -5 degree spring track fun. |
