TrackAddict problems
 

I know it’s not a perfect solution but I tried to use TrackAddict yesterday and my results were all over the place as far as video was concerned on my iPhone. On the second session it started recording out of no where. The third session it literally recorded 8 seconds while I left the pit. The last session it recorded a fraction of a second of video in the pit while I was waiting to leave.

I’m pretty sure every time I hit record while I was waiting to leave the pit and it seems like the results were all over the place as far as what happened.

It recorded the laps in the sense that I could go back through them on the map but I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Can anyone help?

Are you using an external GPS?
Buddy does with good results using TractAddict.
I tried TrackAddict last time out without an external GPS (just iPhone) and it was up and down like a whores drawers. External GPS for next season.

I was using the iPhone GPS but it’s not that it didn’t track each and every lap pretty well. It was the f’in video that never recorded right. So I think it’s a separate issue.

That being said, I’ve been told because of the 1hz refresh rate external GPS definitely helps with accuracy/

Here is the best Combo:

Race Chrono, Qstarz BT-Q818XT 10Hz Bluetooth, and the final piece is OBDLink MX+(you need the more expensive one due to Iphone)

The best part about this setup is Race Chrono can use the can bus data stream and custom PIDs :)
