fuel line quick connect missing?
 

I've been seeing everyone else with the green plastic quick connect fuel adapters

Does anyone know why my car doesn't have it? Is this normal? My one is a 2018 Aus model.

Also, does anyone have an opinion on which line to connect to a flex fuel sensor? I've seen people use the top line and the bottom line

That is the return I believe, not under as much pressure.

There is no return. OE fuel systems deadhead at the rails

Yeah, you are right. I miss read one of the other diagrams of the fuel system I was looking at, I thought it showed a return. Looking again I believe the line without the QD is the feed to the lift pump since it is not under as much pressure.

This quote from Radium Engineering refers to a return line. What are they referring to?


The kit also includes a vehicle-specific contoured billet aluminum collector box. There are two 1" check valve balls incorporated on the tank that serves as trap doors keeping the pump(s) supplied dynamically with fuel during aggressive driving. Furthermore, all returning fuel from the pressure regulator return and the crossover hose enter the collector box through a one-way duckbill valve keeping it full. The duckbill valve prevents back flow and reduces noise from fuel spray. The collector box also permits a mounting solution for the OEM fuel level sender.

Aftermarket fuel pump hanger for return fuel system

I have an LS swap in my car running stock fuel pump hanger/pressure regulator and stick hardlines. I Teed the front and rear hardline on the engine bay. Capped the middle(evap). There is definitely no return line in the car. Excess fuel pressure is dumped before it enters the hardline

Yours system is modified. Radium makes it sound like their set up works with a stock configuration.

No. Using their fuel pump hanger will actually make the system more modified than what I'm using. I have an aftermarket pump, and aftermarket lines connecting the stock hardlines to aftermarket rails and injectors. But the system operates as if it was stock. The Radium basket replaces the stock fuel pump hanger. This requires you to replace the pump and adapt the system to a return type. You'll need a different fuel rail(so it has a return), a fuel pressure regulator, and a return line. Then you have to bypass the stock fuel pump controller. You're replacing the entire system with one that functions differently. No modern car, from the factory, has a return fuel system and hasn't for... Decades? Maybe a supercar would. Maybe
