fix my suspension or tires first?
3 Attachment(s)
I have recently noticed that my car does not feel as planted as it once did, especially when going over forks or bends, the car felt squirrely and losing grip. I assumed it was because of the horrible Kumho tires on it that were 3 years old (they still have a lot of thread left). Even on u-turns with little throttle input I see the traction light flicker at times. The alignment is a bit off but not too bad and the problem AFAIK.
Also, the front end of the car makes a clunking noise whenever I go over a small bump with any speed above 10 kph, it feels as if it is hitting the steering column every time. I had this inspected at a shop and they said that the front sway bar linkages had cracked bushings all over along with a leaking bearing. Below are pictures of the worn out bushings/bearings on the front and a leaking rear passenger side strut. Initially I had planned on spending money on a nice set of Michelin PS4s to fix my handling issues but now I am wondering whether the issues arose because of that leaking rear shock and the worn out bushings up front. What would be of the utmost importance to repair/replace first? |
Suspension. If you do tires first you may prematurely wear them out because your suspension isn’t fixed.

Replace strut, everything else looks normal...
