Foam Between Oil Pan and Cross Member
Hi all,
So while cleaning my engine bay from an oil leak, I discovered a piece of foam (pictured) between my oil pan and what I think is the transmission on the back side of the engine just above the cross member. It looks to be an OEM piece, as it's formed and was centered on the back of the pan, and may have (until being oil soaked) had an adhesive backing. Does anyone know what it is? I'm assuming to either catch fluids (in which case it worked wonderfully) or to soak up some form of vibrations. If anyone knows what it is, I'd like to replace it. I haven't found the part number or if anyone has an idea of where to acquire another/more, I would appreciate the help. It gets stuck to the metal inspection cover that bolts up to the back of the block just under the flywheel.
