Rotrex Idle Whine?
 

Hello all, hoping to get a bit of feedback on my new c30. installed today, and I wanted to verify this idle noise is normal. i move around a bit because its weirdly angle dependent on how clear you can hear the whine. as such i figure its coming from within the rotrex and what you hear is the sound echoing out through the tube and air filter.

what im trying to pick out is that high pitch whine. unsure if mechanical whine, or just the sound of air whistling, normal or not, etc. kind of hard to hear from inside, did not seem to get louder when i revved a bit.

just wanted to verify this is normal sounding for a c30 at idle. fluid reservoir is full

You should drive it to the dealership and say yeah I think there's a whine under there or something

sounds normal to me , that 's just the suction noise of it
my hks gt2 sounds identical
You will know, when the sound won't be right

thanks for the reassurance. it is a bit louder in person, that didnt come thru the video perfectly.

but this is my first time up close with a supercharger like this so, was getting anxious

Sounds normal. HKS version over here, sounds very similar to mine.

You did properly prime it before starting, correct?

My c30 got louder and louder as it failed. Got so loud you had to cover your ears standing next to the car.

Sounds normal. I hear air filter, not whine.
