‘15 engine in a ‘13

My engine blew in my 2013, so I bought a 2015 from a yard. When switching I noticed the sensors are different on the 2015. I switched the plugs from the wiring harness and I’m getting an engine light with P0017 (Cam sensor) which causes the engine to lose power. Any advice?

use 2015 sensors, and put 2015 tune in your ecu

Presume that the engine is appropriate for the transmission type. Not a MT to AT or vice versa unless the proper changes have all been made.

actually i don't think anymore it's so simple
he needs @steve99 opinion

Didn’t think the tune would cause power loss. I’ll look into that. Appreciate it!

Yeah they’re both AT

from 2015 they started changing things in electronics
so you HAVE to use a tune that matches your engine or CELs will throw

You're thinking 2017+

For 2015/2016 the only difference is the coil pack plugs. Run the coil packs that came in the car and it'll be fine, no need for a different tune or anything else.

2017+ has different sensors and needs a 2017+ ECU, or the older sensors swapped over to the new engine, the tune alone isn't enough.
