New Wheel Studs Question
So im running a +20 offset in the rear. On the stock studs ive got about.5" if stud to grab onto. Im going to replace the OEM with ARP studs, but cant decide between 1.75" or the 1.95" (i think the 2.535" would be way too long?)
On the front im at a +33 to clear the TRD SE Brembos. The main thing I want to avoid is going too long stud wise in the rear that I have to do open ended nuts and then the front wont match. |
1.95" will be enough. 1.75" is stock size.
I run the 2.5" with a 10mm spacer. You can fit a close ended but on with no spacer but they will be considerably longer. |

What kind of trimming? so that the stud can be inserted from the rear without taking the hub off? |

Post 12. I used a Dremel and cut off the ends, which allowed me to squeeze them in at a angle by rotating the hub. I've since cleaned them up further but no pic of the final result. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128354 |
Nice, yea thats kinda what I was envisioning... my a 2019 so it should have only seen 1 possibly 2 real winters... im hoping for some good DIY luck..
Is there a min length of avail stud for the nut to sufficiently grab? or is it just a % of the total length of the stud that should be avail for the nut? |
Copied this from an earlier post I made when I went through this:

Im running 5mm (as soon as they are delivered) spacers on the front with +38 offset and +20 in the rear. I really love the 9.5" wide and +20 mm setup in the rear. Ill snag some pictures later today. |
