engine won't crank after replacing battery

several days ago I replaces my battery after having slow starts which led to not starting at all, after jumping the car to go get a new battery I installed the battery and everything started just fine, no lights or anything. I let the car sit for 2 days and took it for a drive today, while driving I realized that both my ABS and traction control lights were on but they would turn off if I came to a stop then back on again once I started driving. i got back parked and turned off the car then I checked the battery to see if it was loose in any way but it was tight I then tried to start the car and it wouldn't even crank, after it not cranking I started pulling fuses to see if it was a blown abs fuse or starter fuse and after replaces several fuses that weren't blown but looked worn the car still has yet to even crank over. I have a feeling it is something that happened when I replaced the battery because before the car was perfect like I said it didn't have any kind of warning lights for anything before

maybe it's a bad battery.. not the first time it's happened

voltage is?

What the other guys said ^
I have had bad brand new batteries before. It happens. Start there and if it is good take the cables back off and clean them. If it still doesn't start then things are getting weird!

also inspect the fuse on the battery terminal

I just got the battery check and it is fully charged, I didn’t mention the previous owner put a subwoofer in the back but I ended up disconnecting and taking out idk if that would have anything to do with it

And the fuse on the battery terminal?

Have you done any other work on the just before the issue started?

No none, just the new battery. I think it’s very strange that my car was completely fine before I replaced the battery then after replacing it all of these issues started helping

It looks to be fine, is there a possibility that a blown terminal battery fuse could stop the engine from cranking?

soundman98 11-08-2020 05:31 PM

Yes. Use an ohm meter to check it
