Jdl ultra quiet front pipe donut gasket
1 Attachment(s)
I installed a 2.5 ultra quiet front pipe. And the gasket that came with the jdl unit doesnt seem to fit right to me. The flanges dont meet, or is that intended?
Anyone that installed this front pipe have any insight? Thanks! |
thats what mine looks like also im pretty sure you arent supposed to bottom out those springs. they are meant to give it flex so your shit doesnt break

Flanges dont touch with a donut gasket, and loosen the nuts so it can flex.

Thanks guy!
How much flex should i have? Im thinking about tightening them a little more than this. |
Looks perfect. Enough thread on the end.

Hmm,
Exhaust leaks here a little. How big of a concern is this? |

But these are new parts, i didnt purchase new parts for them to leak. Ive had a few leaks ive fixed and i have a works stage 2 turbo kit on the car. Or am i just worrying too much? |
Maybe you damaged the gasket when you tightened the bolts down to much? Go get another gasket and try again.

Just get some goop to seal it.

Gaskets provided by JDL are crap. Get a Vibrant gasket 10108G for replacement.
