ACE a350 gasket needed, just one....

I had a couple studs work their way loose on my last track day, and it ended up destroying the 2 to 2 flange gasket. Does anyone know if I can get just that one gasket without buying the $50 kit?

It's the one in the middle of this pack.

I like Remflex. I bought Remflex GS16511 and made my own gasket for my Ace350.

This has happened twice to me at track days. I bring a spare just in case now!

Does it just get so hot that things start to fall apart?

That's not what I wanted to read. At all. I didn't loctite the studs on the first install so maybe this go around I will. It's $40 shipped for just one gasket!

I think it's a mix of a not-so-great flange/bolt design and me perhaps not torqueing down the nuts enough. That said, two reputable race shops have tried some alternate nut/bolt setups and I still lost a nut or two out on track.

It still lingers in the back of my mind every time I head out for a session. Everything held on during a track day last month though. I'm thinking about doing some sort of safety wire setup in the next few weeks before I go back out.

Most loctite is not good for heat, no point in putting it on exhaust parts.

Is there enough room on that flange for a flanged nut? I have these at work. They are 3/8-24 two piece non marring locking flange nuts.

The gasket itself is durable and does not fall apart... the bolts may back out from vibration + heat.

At least the replacement gasket comes with new nuts and bolts.

and then there is this stuff...

Vibra-TITE 19960 Hot-Lock Extreme High Temperature Ceramic Threadlocker

- Keeps assemblies from vibrating loose up to 2000°

- Great for muzzle brakes / recoil compensators, suppressors, vehicle exhaust bolts, turbocharger fasteners

- Water soluble for easy removal

Glad to hear new hardware is in with it. I also ordered up some of that Hot Lock so maybe this will be my last time messing with it.

Not sure how much you actually looked into it, but it looks like the product needs heat to fully cure. Idling for 5 and a cool down looks like it will easily set it.

I just clicked on the buy button. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll make sure to give it some heat for a bit for proper cure procedure.
