Noise in the Engine

Hello Guys,
I need your help in this issue
I've changed the spark plugs and cleaned the 8 injectors by specialist,
After that there was a loud knocking noise or something blowed up in the engine on rpm 2-3 and there is almost no power.

Was your engine part of the valve spring recall? What year is it?

Ahmad Attia 05-13-2020 08:53 AM

Nope, 2013
There was a valve spring recall in america?

Gloonge 05-13-2020 08:55 AM

Yea the 13' scions had it. Don't believe the Subaru or Toyotas did.

Not really sure what else to give. What happened leading up to this issue?

IIRC it's world-wide recall for 2013 to early 2014. Try checking eg. here. Or at dealership.

Ahmad Attia 05-13-2020 09:02 AM

It happened straight away after replacing the spark plugs and cleaning the 8 fuel injectors.

Sounds like your injector specialist messed up then. They need to fix it. Does it smell like fuel under the hood?

Make sure they put all the plug wires/coil packs back in the right place

DarkPira7e 05-13-2020 10:55 AM

Make sure you reconnected your coilpacks and are grounding out the DI harness with the screws

ActionMaxon 05-13-2020 11:01 AM

How straight away after did it happen? Like right on start-up or first drive? Did something fall into the intake through injector hole? Maybe there was that one screw you couldn't find?

Ahmad Attia 05-13-2020 01:21 PM

No fuel smell at all

Ahmad Attia 05-13-2020 01:23 PM

At happened after 2 days around 80km

Ultramaroon 05-13-2020 08:58 PM

wait.... 8 injectors? Loud popping sound, maybe?
