Difference between AeroCatch hood pin models?
 

I’ve tried searching online without any luck.

Does anyone know the difference between AeroCatch 1 vs AeroCatch 1 Xtreme vs AeroCatch 2?

Any pro’s/cons about the above panel vs below panel design?

it says it all on their site.

1 has a aluminum strike pin
1 extreme has a steel strike pin
2 has an extended sheer pin that goes into a prepared frame for additional security.

their site also says the above/below designs are exactly the same, the below just offers improved aesthetics for those that so desire.

I’ve had Q-clip hood pins w/ lanyards in the past and the strike pin began to rust after a couple years. I read that aluminum is more corrosion-resistant than steel so it seems for that reason, the Xtreme would be less preferable.
