Clock stays on with no key in ignition
I have a 2013 Scion FRS base and the radio started making some weird noises, similar to a CD changed back in the day.
I checked today and noticed my clock stays on even with no key in the ignition. I disconnected the fuse for the radio so my battery won’t die but this is strange to me. Is something wrong with the radio so it’s feeding power to the clock? Any help in the right direction would be amazing! Thank You for the help! |
Maybe failed ignition switch? Do a Google search for "clock stays on with no key in the ignition".
Lot's of good threads like this come up: https://repairpal.com/why-does-my-cl...y-ignition-544 More likely car has a ghost though, sell ASAP! |
Clock is part of the HVAC system...

The hazard and seat belt warning still works without the fuse.
But here is a picture of the problem. |
Did you try putting the fuse back and see if the power off on reset anything?
The head unit noise is probably a cooling fan going bad. It has been reported as an issue on here before. Shouldn't impact the clock though. Does anything else come on when the ignition is off? |

Also is your shifter actually gated? (Sorry for getting off topic but it's a free bump anyway)
