VALENTI REVERSE BRAKE LIGHT

Hello,

Does anyone know a good video to follow when I am installing my valenti 4th reverse brake light?

:thanks:

I went to Apex Auto in Markham and told them exactly what I wanted (triangle lights up with brake - does not blink 3 times - V on at night) and they re-pinned it for me

oh damn okay, how much they charge?

I just tapped into the stock reverse harness and for the brakes I tapped into my driver side tail light.

I followed this one, just the 4th brake light part

check for the functionality of the brake lights. i've seen some sets where the brake light only lights up if the V has power. if this is the case, you can get around it using 2 diodes in-line.

It wasn’t much. Like $50?

This is what I used. I had to resolder the wires inside the light itself though to make it light up the way i want it. The brake doesnt pulse though it just lights solid :(

What were you trying to do with the soldering, get rid of the pulsing?

I wish only my V lit up when lights were on. But the V + the part that pulses both light up when lights are on.

I rewired it so the V stays on when the headlights are on then when I hit the brake the triangle comes on. Sadly the wiring that claims to keep the pulse doesn't always work so I had to do it a different way and it doesn't pulse. But at lease they're separate

I wish mine did exactly what you were shooting for too. It would’ve been perfect if they wired it to do that. Only the V comes on when headlights are on, then when brakes are applied you get that little triangle pulse and the triangle only stays on until brakes are let off.

I thought I wired mine wrong when I saw the triangle stayed on with the V when headlights were on.

I know a guy selling harnesses that doesn't require you to cut off and repin wires to get the 4th brake light to work. He sells it for $23 each. PM me if you want link to his FB sales post.
