Home brew front pipe

I swapped my stock front pipe with a resonated pipe. Now the car stutters a little when I pull away from a stand still. It just happens when I start off with a very light throttle.

I have the OFT 2 tune because I run a UEL header, I was hoping the OFT would learn about the cat delete and adjust, but its been 4 days now and its still stuttering.

Would a leak cause it, I installed it myself. The borla muffler in this picture was swapped for a Vibrant 1792 resonator for clearance issues with the AT pan.

if you have a leak pre-O2 sensor ( headers) then it could explain a poor running condition. At the front pipe I wouldn't expect it to cause any issue except additional sound and a stink

Maybe a longshot...but is it rubbing somewhere and causing ping or knock in the engine?

I had to clearance the resonator a bit. It may still be up against the AT pan. The engine does sound different-but I though it was just the new pipe sound.

Removing the secondary cat won't effect the ECU at all, the O2 sensors are both ahead of the front pipe (before and after the primary cat in the header).

Is it possible you're just trying to use less throttle because it's louder than before, and needing more throttle to pull smoothly?

You are probably correct, I guess I just need to use WOT all the time:>

catless front pipe makes the exhaust gasses smell? does the same go for catless headers?

Not really. The header may have caused some odor, but my sense of smell is not perfect. The front pipe is definitely rotten eggs!

Haha no, but if you have a leak you're going to get more exhaust smell in general because it's exiting under the car, not behind it.

It's a total lack of cats that makes it stink. A catless front pipe with the stock header won't smell at all because there's still the stock cat in the header. A catless header with the stock front pipe won't either because there's still the stock cat in the front pipe.
