Leaky Exhaust

Hey guys I got the MXP SP catback and I noticed some water dripping on the connection. So I tested to see if there's any leak with soap water and both of the connections started bubbling. The donut gasket flange is fine but the other 2 connection isn't. I took it to some muffler shop and they wanted to weld it together but I told them no since I want them in separate pieces if I were take it off.

I feel like I've tightened it enough but could I have overtightened it? Any suggestions or solutions appreciated.

Undo the exhaust and add Permatex Ultra Copper then reassemble.
A lot of people I know with slip on exhausts use this.

Or just leave it alone. It's tiny in terms of leaks but I can understand wanting that to be perfect.

Is this considered a minor leak? I'm just wondering if the leak of this size affects the cabin noise.

Get a band clamp.
