Front lip question

I'd like to get a front lip\splitter however the car is lowered 3\4" and the underneath portion of the front bumper already scrapes sometimes. is there a lip or front splitter that the actual lip sits a bit above the bottom of the bumper? Looking at them on websites it can be hard to tell.

Since all of the lips/ splitters are mounted below the front bumper, I think you're SOL. However, the scrapes are on the bottom so they won't really be seen unless someone lays on the ground to look at it.

correct. I’m just worried about it ending up being too much lower and being torn off but I guess this is one of those things that you just have to take a chance

I'd just get a cheaper one. Most are plastic anyway so just plan on maybe having to replace it after a year or two. But also learn to angle as much as possible/whenever you can.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking

JDM TRD lip doesn't go that much lower than OE, and it is secured on top and bottom. Never had a problem with it, and I regularly track the car (and occasionally run off the track)

Awesome. I'll check it out

Yeah I plan on getting a super cheap one. Unless I had a bunch of money, I wouldn’t get the carbon fiber ones. From a distance, no one can really tell. The plastic ones still look good and do the job. Just make sure you mount it well and you should be fine. I feel like unless it wasn’t mounted well, it’s hard for it to just fly/scrape off. If it does, a good $200 or so and you’re good, but I doubt that would happen. STI one is totally not worth $500. You going for one with or without splitter rods?

This I've been running a front lip for almost a year now and im lowed by a inch, you'll have to learn to angle the car it'll take time. Also double sided tape, if you have a curb drive way like me you'll hit the one spot every time and eventually pull the lip screws. But definitely get a cheaper lip or a lip that you can possibly fix up with a bit of DIY.

Not sure. The smaller ones don't need one however the bigger ones have at least SOME actual downforce which is what I'm after for tracks like Willow Springs.
