Exedy OEM Clutch Kit, TOB good quality?

I need to replace my TOB. I am going to replace my clutch while i'm down there. Does anyone know if the TOB in this kit is just as bad as the stock ones or is it better quality?

Is there any reason to replace the fork with this kit? I could pick up the verus one but if it's not needed then i'll pass. My clutch is creaking, think the grease around the clutch fork inside the housing has dried up.

Thanks for any help.

There is no known aftermarket TOB, so the kit will have a stock one. Make sure it is the upgraded one with the white dot, if not go to the dealer and get one.

The TOB was suppose to be getting updated to the new TOB with the white dot, but some remaining kits could still have the old design. If so then buy the new TOB. The fork upgrade is worth it, even for the OEM kit at stock power. Exedy’s Stage 1 kit is identical to the OEM kit, except it has a thicker/stronger pressure plate. Just saying.

I bought the same clutch kit and a new 2018 TOB from Subaru. The TOB in the kit was not the same bearing and looked to be an older revision.

How's the clutch working out for you? Feel fine?

Yeah so far so good. I did buy my car used with 19K miles on it. The clutch I pulled out at over 70K was the Excedy OEM and looked fine. I only changed it because the TOB was making noise. There was still plenty of meat on it, no glazing or abnormal wear.

Forkīs a good idea

Previously had went to an upgraded clutch kit with more torque rating. Did NOT upgrade fork. Miles later the fork broke. Another garage dive. Donīt forget the grease as applicable.

If you're going to get the fork, you might as well get the pivot ball too.
