2014 weird RPM behavior when braking (Automatic)
https://streamable.com/qg8a8
Does anyone else's AT behave like this? Mine never did this when on OFT OTS tune. Only started acting like this when tuned with Ecutek and SC install. When coming to a stop, my RPM's will dip to ~490 then instantly shoot back up to ~730 a second later. When it dips, my car will shake a bit until it shoots back up. It even gets to the point where my oil light will flicker. I've checked my oil every time I come home and it's at the correct amount;even went to get it changed to 5w-30 yesterday and it still happens. In the last second of the video, you can see what I'm talking about. Is this something that a tuner can smooth out or is it not possible? I've talked to my tuner about it and he keeps adjusting the tune but it's still persistent. It ONLY happens when I'm braking. RPM is normal and doesn't fluctuate when in park. |
This happens to me as well with my 2013 6AT on OFT stage 2 catted tune and the Wayno tunes.
It only happens under hard braking and i can reproduce it pretty easily. There have been 2-3 times I actually had to brake hard and have actually had the engine stall completely. Super annoying. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |
Not Normal. Did you get all your leaks sorted out and your LTFT and STFT sorted? They should not be a combined value of more then +\- 10% otherwise either MAF needs scaling, or most likely you still have leaks. Which would correlate to RPM drop

Vacuum issue?

Alter the overun fuel resume table to resume fuling a a slighly higher rpm.
Adc 50 rpm to base ilde tables as well |
closing the loop on this. I cleaned my throttle body with CRC throttle body cleaner and that resolved my issues. Might be worth trying if you're still running into this.

I have a bone stock 2013 AT, I have had this happen too.

My car did it stock and after tune. I know mine does this when the AC compressor kicks on.
Is that what's happening to yours? |
