Fifteen52 Tarmacs: 17x9 +30 ...clearance?
I picked up some scuffed up Fifteen52 Tarmacs in 17x9" +30 at World's Biggest Meet at Stafford Motor Speedway this weekend for $600, and I'm worried about the lower offset. I love a little bit of poke and I'm on stock suspension for now, but with a 245 tire am I going to rub? Any rub concerns once I drop an inch or two on coilovers? Enough that I should consider going 235?
Car is daily driven mostly on the highway, not looking to eat through wide soft compound tires with crap mileage. Any suggestions on tires for this setup would be much appreciated. Anybody else running tarmacs? |
Use the wheel it fit calculator, top of this section in a sticky.
17x9 +30 with -1.8 degrees of camber or so will be flush-ish in the front at stock height. You'll need more camber or narrower tires the lower you go. Rear won't be any problem. |
I'm running 720Form GTF1s in the 17x9 +35 with the stock summer tires (215/45r17) stretched a bit. They fit fine on stock suspension until I actually buy the car when my lease is up, then probably BC coilovers.
