Edelbrock surge tank cap failure?
Hi guys,
Been running an edelbrock SC on my frs for the last few months. Recently after an oil change I saw a lot of dried coolant in my engine bay around the surge tank/radiator area and was suspecting some sort of leak. I noticed the surge tank for the SC was a little low, so I topped it off, and went on my way. I also noticed that the cap (motorad t35) was not fitting quite 'right', in that 1. it was a little crooked, and 2. It was kinda like a pill bottle; screw it past a certain tightness and it would loosen up again. I'm assuming this isn't normal and have a replacement cap ordered. Has anyone seen anything similar in their edelbrock? I'm assuming you should be able to screw on the surge tank cap tightly right? Thanks! |
They'll warranty it for you. Contact your vendor, and they'll facilirate it.

Thanks Mike, I'll be reaching out the shop I got it installed in. How topped off should the surge tank be when the car is cold? I see a 'Max' line, but I assume it should only be that high when the engine is hot?
Thanks! |
