Clutch Engagement
My 17 BRZ has about 70k kms on it now and it feels like the clutch engagement point has gotten a lot higher since the car had 7 kms on it.
Has anyone else noticed this on their vehicles? I read a couple of comments from earlier threads that the engagement point in these cars don't change over the course of the car's life. To me I am certain that the grab point has changed. |
1. As your clutch wears down, there is physically more space between the pressure plate and friction material. This will increase pedal travel.
2. Check clutch fluid level, just for fun. 3. You can always adjust the clutch grab point whenever you want. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8040 |

Are you bored? :paddle: Guys, the clutch mechanism floats just like the pots in your brake calipers. It's a simpler version of the same mechanism. The engagement profile may change as the disk wears but, other than seasoning to taste, there's no reason to adjust the pedal throw. That being said, I loathe the stock setup. I seasoned mine heavily. |
