Manual transmission fluid flush vs drain and fill
There are two ways to service manual transmission fluid.
The first is to use a transmission fluid exchanger machine to flush the fluid. This is themore expensive of the two options. The second is to drain the fluid and then add in new fluid. Does it make a difference which method you use to maintain the warranty? |
No

The warranty expires before the first recommended trans or diff fluid change?

Same as engine oil, drain it when it's hot.

Just pull the fill plug first.

Just drain and fill. “Flushing” only makes sense in automatic transmissions, where to replace the fluid, it needs to be running. But our manual transmissions are an empty case with spinny dudes in it that when at operating temp, drain to the bottom of the pan fairly quickly.
