Car stalling when a/c is on
Car started randomly stalling today while at low rpm in 1st gear and a few times at stop lights while in neutral.
I noticed it happens when the a/c is on, I turned off the a/c and the problem ceased. I had my clutch replaced just yesterday, not sure how it would be related if it happens when the car is in neutral. What y'all think? Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

It may not be related to the clutch. If the battery was disconnected for the clutch work, the ECU may just be re-learning stuff. I'd give it a few hours/miles to settle in. humfrz |
No codes.
Come to think about it I haven't driven the car much since the clutch was replaced, maybe it is just the ECU relearning and nothing more. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

If the issue doesn’t go away over time there is an idle relearn process. I had a problem with my idle after tuning with random drops and surges where the car would almost stall (as the ECU gets reset after flashing a tune), and this fixed it: As I recall (very high level) - Disconnect battery for 10 mins. - Reconnect battery. - Put car into ON position for 20 seconds, not starting it. This allows the car to calibrate sensors, etc. - Turn car OFF and wait a few seconds. - Put car into ON position for 20 seconds again. - Start the car and let idle for 10 mins. This will let the ECU figure out the throttle calibration for a smooth idle. - Turn off the car for a few mins. - Start it back up and drive around! That should fix your issue. |

Next time I have a CEL (never I hope) I'll try this procedure to save me some grief. |
IIRC wasn't there an ECU reflash service bulletin related to this?

Is your car still running fine after the relearn? Dealing with similar issue for a long ass time. Going to try this method but just curious if it 'stuck' or if the relearn process becomes a neccessary frequent thing.

My pattern is once I hit ½ tank of gas it starts to get wonky and gets worse as tank drains to light. Refill with petrol and issue goes away. Using the Full Blown Walbro 485 pump kit. Bad fuel pump? Fuel pump over heating? I know the obvious answer for resolution is don’t let it get below ½ tank……that’s a PIA in the long run. Trying to find a better resolution.
