EcuTek not reading engine codes?
So I have a CEL and thought I'd use my ecutek cable to see if it could tell me what code it was. Plugged in and software needed to be updated, So I updated. Detected vehicle and ran the Vehicle DTC Tool.
The following is what it showed me: "Performing DTC Operations on... Reading DTCs... OBD Error during reading DTCs: No Response to ODB Request End of DTC Operation Any thoughts? |

Thaat look like no connection to obd port. Check obd cavle plugeed in all the way to obd port Check you have ignition full on not jist accessory but engine stopped. Also see if ecutek will do logging or a query ecu. Looks more hardware issue to me |
but strange that it detected correctly the vehicle then

Took it in to the auto parts store and tried their CEL reader.
P0390 P0391 Do you think this is tied to the tune or something else? I would still like to know if others have had ECUtek DTC problems |
if they read CEL than as steve said is something about your personal cable not doing goood connection or messed up drivers in your Windows, not tune related
|
The OBD connecters are well known to be flaky and give intermittent connections. In one case I was forced to buy a cable extender to complete a read and write.
