Changing oil on an 86 with an oil cooler
I installed the Jackson Track Oil Cooler a couple days ago and I wonder if there's anything that I'll have to take in account for when I change the oil on the car?
I think there's gonna be some oil in the radiator itself and Jackson recommends to change the oil every 3000 miles as well. I'm currently on 0w20 oil but I may switch to 5w30 for the next oil change to deal with the upcoming summer heat so I'm wondering if it'll be an issue. |
Nothing different. The first time you change the oil just make a note how much it takes to refill.

The oil cooler will not drain during the oil change. This is not a big deal. Oil change will be exactly the same.

Just account for the extra capacity. Also is there instructions to prime the cooler/engine after a refill or this is only on first fill?
